When asked about what they were looking for in a summer camp for their children, one of our gr8 sk8 parents said:

"I'd like it to be affordable, to have a knowledgeable staff member available to answer my questions at all times, and experienced counselors, including a staff of adults attending to my children. I would also like to have my children eat healthy by bringing their lunch or by eating a balanced meal provided by the camp. I want my kids to have fun and want to come back. Also, I would like a place where learning was incorporated into the activities so that my children can learn AND have fun!"

 

        At the Great Skate, that is exactly what we strive to do. This year, there will be experienced adults on staff at all times, and all counselors from last year will be returning this summer. We will be providing healthy meals for your children this year, including ravioli, lasagna, spaghetti, chicken breasts, fruit and veggies w/ each meal, etc. On top of all that, we guarantee that your kids will have fun. Since last year, we have added new games and kept the ones the kids have liked so much in the past. We have also eliminated the games the kids didn't enjoy, and we have increased our Arts and Crafts, making the summer much more exciting, fun, and educational. We are no longer just about sitting and watching TV. We are playing and getting exercise so the kids can stay healthy and have something to tell you when they get home. More importantly, we are teaching the kids every day. Whether they are learning about safety (safety week) or animals (animal week), they will be learning and having fun.
